This week we have been exploring the mathematical concepts of place value and base ten with the help of our Montessori Golden Beads & Stamp Game. Students have been encouraged to show their mathematical thinking in a clear & organized way, while sharing their thinking and process in numbers, pictures and words.

In preparation for tomorrow's field trip students enjoyed the warm weather in the school garden on Monday by participating in a 'sit spot'. We took 10 minutes to sit in a space, make observations and record our ideas in our field journals. Afterwards, we did a Gallery Walk in order to share our work and provide feedback to others.
